Today, my sister and I were watching a show that had a deaf guy on it. He was getting surgery done, and one of the surgeons was talking to him without sign language and with a mask over his mouth. I made a comment about how there was no way he would be able to understand. My sister's eyes got big and she said in surprise, "You mean deaf people can't hear?"
